5v5 play · Stack Right
Post Wheel
The post pulls the deep defender inside; the wheel runs up the sideline behind her.
Routes
- CHitch
Run hard 6 yards, stop, turn back to the QB. Quick and safe.
- XDig
The in at 10 yards, behind the short defenders.
- YWheel
Start like a flat, then turn it up the sideline.
- ZPost
Seven yards up, then break deep toward the middle of the end zone.
- QRead
Read Y → Z → X. Throw as she breaks open.
The QB's read, step by step
- Y on the wheel. Look here first, right from the snap.
- Z on the post. Covered? Move your eyes here next.
- X on the dig. The last look. Get the ball out before the 7 seconds run out.
Coaching points
- Line up in Stack Right: two receivers one behind the other, so their defenders get in each other's way.
- Every route at the same depth on every snap, so the QB can throw on time.
- No picks: receivers cross near each other, never into a defender on purpose.
- Run it to both sides: mirror it and it's two plays.
When to call it
Against man coverage: the routes are built to win one-on-one. Mirror it to attack the other side.
