5v5 play · Bunch Left
Bunch Switch
Three receivers start together and burst in three directions. Man defenders lose their player in the crowd.
Routes
- CFlat
Out to the sideline right away, 1–2 yards past the line. The QB's quick outlet.
- XOut
Five yards, plant your inside foot, cut flat to the sideline.
- YCorner
Seven yards up, then break deep toward the corner pylon.
- ZSlant
Two steps up, then a sharp angle inside. Win in the first second.
- QRead
Read X → Y → C. Throw as she breaks open.
The QB's read, step by step
- X on the out. Look here first, right from the snap.
- Y on the corner. Covered? Move your eyes here next.
- C on the flat. The last look. Get the ball out before the 7 seconds run out.
Coaching points
- Line up in Bunch Left: three receivers close together, so man defenders lose them in the crowd.
- Every route at the same depth on every snap, so the QB can throw on time.
- No picks: receivers cross near each other, never into a defender on purpose.
- Run it to both sides: mirror it and it's two plays.
When to call it
Against man coverage: the routes are built to win one-on-one. Mirror it to attack the other side.
